Life Story: Thankful Friday
Happy day after Thanksgiving friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family & friends! I certainly did especially since I got to spend it with great friends & we feasted on amazing food.
Since I'm on call tonight and need to sleep, I'm keeping this High Five for Friday short & sweet! I'm linking up with Lauren today!
5 reasons to give thanks this year (by no means a complete list):
1. My family
I love them so much! If anyone on this earth has been an example of unconditional love, it would be my parents & sister. They have always supported me and been there for me through the ups & downs. Lovelovelove them!
2. My friends
You know who you are and I love you guys! Thankful for all the craziness, the laughs & fun memories. Most of all, thanks for the shoulders to cry on, the hugs of support and encouraging words that you somehow know I need. You da best.
3. My education
Often, I take for granted that I get the chance to go to med school or even having the chance to go to school at all. For this freedom and for having the means to attend school, I am thankful.
4. The abundance of food on my table each day
When was the last time I worried about not having food to eat at meals or a drop of clean water to drink? Never. But tens of thousands of children die each day due to starvation. My heart breaks.
5. God's grace
I could not do life without it. Who knows what kind of person I would be if I did not know Jesus. I know my life would not be filled with the joy I have in my heart and the peace of knowing my life is in His good hands regardless of the struggles I face in life.
What are you thankful for this year?
