Style Story: Boho Chic

Hello from Hong Kong! Yes, I'm back again and pinching myself for being this fortunate to get to spend so much time here with my extended family. I'm on my two weeks of vacation between third and fourth of med school so I'm not going on any side trips to other countries in Asia and I'll be relaxing in this wonderful city the entire time. My plan is to eat back all the pounds I lost this past year (I may or may not have already accomplished this...) while scouring the street markets for great deals on clothes. I plan to share my fabulous bargain finds with you all soon, so stay tuned! Now on to this style story...

While I haven't had the chance to frequent music festivals like Coachella or Lolla, I've always wanted to, mainly so I can wear my floral headpieces more often (well, second to the music). Yes, I have a small collection at home that sit and look very pretty. So I thought I'd bring one during this trip to Hong Kong because, why not? And it just so happened that I was feeling a bohemian vibe one morning and threw it on.

Since these things never stay on my big head and I forgot to bring bobby pins (silly me!), I secured it by braiding small sections of my hair on both sides and tucking them over and under the head piece. Then to pull the whole look together, I added a vibrant printed maxi skirt (that I got for a steal) and simple accessories.

We often take morning walks in this gorgeous park in Hong Kong and it made for the perfect backdrop. Thankfully it was a perfect day out and the rain was holding off for me to capture its beauty.

Hope you enjoyed this fun look! I'm off to eat some more delicious Hong Kong food and if you want to get those jealous feels from my food adventures, you can follow me on Instagram. Oh, and we bought another Egg Waffle maker so now I have my own so I'll be making plenty of that goodness when I get home my friends.

This week's Five for Friday...My favorite eats in HK so far:

1. Tiny mangoes!
2. Mangosteen (my all-time favorite fruit)
3. Curry fish balls & octopus on a stick
4. Sweet corn pie from McDonalds (Asian McDonalds are the BEST)
5. And as always, I have to have my fill of B Boy's grass jelly with heaps of fresh cut fruit

And as always, let us remember to Love big. Love is not self-seeking, but puts others before our own needs. Love is not jealous, but encourages others to continue to dream big and supports them to reach their dreams.
