Why did I choose to leave the comforts of my home, family and friends to do medical missions almost halfway across the world?
Because I believe that we are all meant to love & serve others and do that wherever our hearts lead us.
For me, that means leaving the comforts of home to love and serve people around the world. But that's my story. Each of us were placed here on earth for a unique reason. So just because I feel led to hop on a plane to serve others doesn't mean you have to follow suit.
You can & should love people anywhere you are. It can be your neighbors, the person you see on the street every day, or your community. If you do a little bit of searching, there are so many organizations around you that need your helping hand.
But, I definitely encourage you to try something new. I remember being so scared before my first trip to Africa. But it was that experience that helped me find my greater purpose in life. And it also helped me realize how much love I can fill and pour from my heart and how capable my hands & feet are to serve others.
Just because others around you may not be living a life of love doesn't mean you can't! Be bold and veer off into "the wild" where love roams freely and there is no hate to mar the beauty of life. If you need a little nudge, well, here's my push to steer you in the right direction. Love big & love freely!
I thought some animal print would be a perfect way to roam in the wild. And I paired it with some Rocksbox jewelry! Don't forget to get your 1 month FREE Rocksbox membership with code "joannaxoxo"!
