GIVE WITH GRACE: GIRLS ON THE RUN

Girls run the world!

Unfortunately, girls are often bombarded with messages that tell them differently. I've encountered many girls who tell me that they don't feel like they're enough. I often spend a good chunk of a doctor's visit encouraging pre-teen and teenage girls to dismiss the lies they've been told and believe in the greatness they were created to be.

I can go on and on about where these false messages arise, but it wouldn't be anything you haven't heard. But I can tell you about an amazing organization doing great things to overcome this epidemic.

Girls on the Run is doing incredible work internationally to support and teach girls from a young age. Not only are they a running program, they also teach the girls to build strong values, create supportive friendships and practice healthy habits.

I love their vision: "We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams."
