Every morning, I start my day by checking my to-do list while I brew a cup of coffee. Then, I'll take my cup of coffee and my Bible to my living room couch and read my daily devotional. If I feel led, I'll also spend some time journaling thoughts. I never feel ready for the day until I've done this routine.
